General Saw Operation

Operation:
In general, plate stock is loaded either via a overhead crane, or a forklift onto the run-out table while the Hold Down Clamp system is in the raised position.

The ball transfer system is then raised by air activated power and the plate  is moved into position by a single operator against the fence, then moved along the fence to the desired length of cut. For multiple cuts, a backgage block can be clamped onto the fence to provide a repetitive reference point.

The ball transfer system is lowered leaving the plate stock in solid contact with the non marring hardwood surface blocks.

The Hold Down Clamp is lowered, it adjusts to the thickness of the plate stock, exerting constant pressure (supplied by air) onto the plate stock  during the entire cutting operation.

The feed rate is set, the saw motor is started, and the Feed drive motor is engaged for constant feed pressure.

Once cutting is complete the blade assembly is returned to home, the hold Down Clamp is raised, the Ball Transfer System is raised  the cut plate is moved ,unloaded the remaining stock is repositioned or moved.
